The Star Trekkers Walking Club is a non-profit organization established in 1990 to promote volkssporting (walking, swimming, and biking) and are sponsored by the City of Irving Parks and Recreation Department. We are one of over 350 member clubs of the American Volkssport Association (AVA). There are thousands of volkssport clubs around the world, allied in the International Volkssport Federation, the IVV.

Member clubs host walking events. The walks (volksmarches) are non-competitive 6.2 mile (10 kilometer) walks with 3.1 mile (5 kilometer) options. These walks are not pledge walks, they are not races, they are fun activities you do with a club, your family, your pet, or all by yourself. Except for the first year, membership dues are $8.00 per year and are payable in October.

For the first year, membership dues are $10.00, which includes $2.00 for the club pin. Dues are prorated quarterly. For example, if you are a new member and join in June, your prorated membership dues are $4.00 and the club pin is $2.00, so you would pay $6.00.
