The Star Trekkers Walking Club is a non-profit organization established in 1990 to promote volkssporting (walking, swimming, and biking) and are sponsored by the City of Irving Parks and Recreation Department. We are one of over 350 member clubs of the American Volkssport Association (AVA). There are thousands of volkssport clubs around the world, allied in the International Volkssport Federation, the IVV. Member clubs host walking events. The walks (volksmarches) are non-competitive 6.2 mile (10 kilometer) walks with 3.1 mile (5 kilometer) options. These walks are not pledge walks, they are not races, they are fun activities you do with a club, your family, your pet, or all by yourself. Las Colinas Sulphur Springs CLUB MEETINGS:Regular Meetings: bi-monthly at 7:00 pm on the second Thursday of each month unless otherwise indicated with an (*).. Board meetings are at 6:00 pm on the same day as the membership meetings. Jaycee Park Center for the Arts is located at 2000 West Airport Freeway, Irving (on south side of Airport Freeway (HWY 183) between Story Road and MacArthur. Braums is located on the corner of Shady Grove and Story Road. (everyone is welcome).
Meeting Dates: MEMBERSHIP: Except for the first year, membership dues are $8.00 per year and are payable in October. For the first year, membership dues are $10.00, which includes $2.00 for the club pin. Dues are prorated quarterly. For example, if you are a new member and join in June, your prorated membership dues are $4.00 and the club pin is $2.00, so you would pay $6.00. The prorated dues plus the club pin are:

GROUP WALKS DURING THE WEEKAt the moment, our Monday evening group walks at Las Colinas, and Valley Ranch are not being walked on a regular basis. If you are interested in walking these walks, please contact the walk director for each walk. Our Wednesday evening Group Walk at the Heritage YRE continues at 6:30.
